The Accelerated Settlement (T1) Working Group

The Accelerated Settlement (T1) Working Group (ASWG) , setup in June 2023,  has been created further to instruction by the Market Practice Steering Group (MPSG).

Its mandate is to review the challenges, costs, outcomes, potential benefits and impact to securities lending of financial markets moving from T+2 to T+1 in the United States of America, the European Union and United Kingdom.

The group will also be required to respond to requests for information and data from regulators and their respective taskforces and all work will be reported up to the MPSG.
